The amount of single plastic waste along with other non-organic waste is always our concern for future environment. On 15th February 2020, “Bali’s Biggest Clean-up” was carried out in whole island of Bali, leading by One Island One Voice(OIOV), Bali based NGO. It was the 4th year to conduct this biggest clean up event. For more detail please visit https://www.oneislandonevoice.org/
Ametis Villa Bali had participated as a part of coordinator in Batu Bolong Beach, Canggu. Total 274 volunteers from 30 business, community and local authority were joined to clean the beach and the street on that day. 48 bags of waste was collected, which were sorted by cigarette butts 793pcs, food wrapping 210pcs, plastic bottles and cups 151pcs, then followed by other plastics such as styrofoam, glass bottles, straws, cans, and shoes, etc. Those recyclable wastes were collected by EcoBali to proceed recycling. Organic and non recyclable wastes were collected by local village waste collect.
The latest update from OVOI, 110 areas of Bali had joined this clean-up and approximately 20 ton of waste was collected. The final result and analysis is still on progress by One Island One Voice.
